In the frame of our mechanical engineering activities dedicated to aeronautic sector, AKKODIS Group is looking for a Stress Leader FEM / FEA / Static Engineer for its Blagnac Agency.

Integrated in de Mechanical Product Engineering division “MPE”, you will be under the responsibility of the Head of Mechanical Stress Analyses department. You will join an international project team and more specifically the stress team dedicated to support our customer for transverse stress activities.

You will manage technically the stress team and will be the interface concerning the following activities that you need to master:

- Create/modify Finite Element Model of single to multibody mechanical structure mastering (GFEM, DFEM, …)

- DMU cleaning

- Use of 0D, 1D, 2D & 3D topology and associated loads application

- Application of general rules to ensure consistent results (mesh quality, refinement, mesh simplification, …) depending of stress analyses

- FEM validation

- Perform stress analysis / sensitivity studies

- Simulation of intact structure, simulation of PRA, simulation of advanced mechanical behavior

- Extraction of data/results from GFEM / DFEM and associated FEA

- Prepare Stress sizing data

- Perform a Static assessment on metallic and composite based on numerical analyses or analytical approach

- Aeronautical stress methods and processes

- Prepare stress documents (stress presentation, stress report, approval sheet, …)

- Knowledge in FDT is a plus

Ideal candidate must hold an engineering degree specialized in mechanical engineering and meet following requirements:

- 15+ years of experience with significant experience in technical management and customer interface

- Leadership skills

- Strong working knowledge of civil aircraft regulations

- Good written and verbal communication skills in English (French is a plus)

- Ability to work in a multicultural context and under limited supervision

- Tools: ALTAIR suite, ABAQUS, NASTRAN, PYTHON, ISAMI …
