Job description

FULL-STACK WEB DEVELOPER (Ruby-on-Rails/Python/PHP)

 

Full-Stack Web Developer (Ruby-on-Rails/Python/PHP) - Remote Working with travel to Bristol when required (ad-hoc)

Immediate Start - Permanent Contract

THE ROLE

 

The 20,000+ engineers under our employ rely on our bespoke, purpose-built Project Management tool to ensure that their hours are logged and leave requests can be made. And that's just the start of it. Not only will you be maintaining and improving this software in your day-to-day, but you will also get involved in upskilling and training of major stakeholders, acting as the face of AKKA when required.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

 

  • Looking after and maintaining current projects
  • Configuring projects to meet customer needs
  • Reviewing code
  • Writing scripts for specific projects or needs
  • Working through tickets via the system directly

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

ESSENTIAL

  • Strong knowledge in Ruby-on-Rails/Python/PHP (Laravel) or similar OOP language
  • Excellent understanding of Web Development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
  • Good understanding of MVC Architectures
  • Windows and Linux Systems (Ubuntu 18.04)/WSL

 

NICE TO HAVE

  • Git (Version Control)
  • RSpec
  • SQL
