Job description

We are looking for a High Power Microwave (HPM) Engineer to develop cutting-edge HPM effectors and contribute to high-impact defense technology projects, within a multidisciplinary R&D team in the process of formation.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Designing and evaluating HPM effectors and their components (energy storage, pulsed generators, forming lines, antennas, etc.)
  • Bridging operational concepts (CONOPs) and technical implementation
  • Managing your research and coordinating subcontracted work (internal and external)
  • Conducting component testing and evaluations
  • Participating in technical reviews and documenting the design process thoroughly
  • Staying up to date with technological advancements in HPM and ELM for defense applications
  • Representing the technical team in joint international R&D initiatives

Profile

You hold a Master’s Degree or PhD in Engineering, Physics, or Electronics, and have a strong background in electromagnetism and electrical systems. You combine research capability with an application-driven mindset and have a deep curiosity about HPM, ELM, and pulsed power systems.

You are analytical, self-motivated, and demonstrate strong project management and communication skills. Knowledge in high-voltage circuits, transmission lines, antenna design, or electron physics is a plus. You are proficient in Python, fluent in English, and French is a bonus.
