Description de la mission

We are looking for a System Engineer to support long-term projects for one of our clients in the automotive sector, working on hybrid transmission systems with a strong focus on energy efficiency and real-world mission performance.

Your main responsibilities include:
•Developing, maintaining and verifying system-level requirements for transmission efficiency and performance across vehicle segments and drive cycles
•Defining mission profiles representing real-world driving conditions and load collectives for subsystems and components
•Conducting energy flow analysis and loss breakdowns within the transmission system
•Supporting design trade-offs between mechanical layout, control strategy and efficiency performance
•Developing and using system-level simulation models to predict transmission behavior under various mission profiles
•Analyzing vehicle test data and correlating with simulation results to improve prediction accuracy
•Working closely with Hardware, Controls, Calibration, Testing and Validation teams to ensure system targets are met
•Defining and supporting characterization tests for transmission subsystems
•Supporting design reviews, DFMEAs, and validation planning related to efficiency and mission-based performance
•Contributing to next-generation transmission systems and benchmark activities

Profil

You hold a Master's degree in Automotive, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering and have at least 5 years of experience in transmission development, preferably in efficiency optimization or testing.

Must Have

•Deep understanding of transmission architectures, loss mechanisms and energy flow analysis
•Hands-on experience with simulation tools (Matlab/Simulink or similar)
•Experience in data acquisition and analysis
•Strong analytical, data-driven and problem-solving mindset
•Fluency in English and French
•Rigorous, reliable, proactive mindset with strong communication skills

Nice to Have

•Knowledge of requirement management tools (Polarion)
•Experience with electrified powertrain configurations
•Familiarity with DFMEA processes and validation planning
•Exposure to benchmark methodologies for competitor systems
